Our light lunch menu is back, a selection of dishes priced at £13.50 (unless otherwise stated).

This menu is served Monday to Saturday from 12pm until 2pm. Please note this menu will not be available during December.

Today’s Light Lunch Menu



Sirloin Steak
A tender 8oz sirloin steak cooked to your liking, served with a rich, red wine and mushroom sauce.
(£3 supplement).

Homemade Wild Game Pie
Tender pieces of venison, ostrich and zebra, in a rich red wine and green peppercorn sauce. Topped with golden puff pastry.

Trio of Lamb Chops
A trio of lamb chops, marinated in garlic and rosemary, griddle cooked to your liking, served with colcannon potatoes and mint gravy.

Bangers and Mash
‘Butchers Dog’ locally made pork, herb and garlic sausages, served with scallion infused mashed potatoes and rich onion gravy.

Trout Supreme
A supreme of locally caught trout, baked in the oven, and served with a creamy dill and champagne sauce.

Belly Pork
Slow roasted, with crispy crackling. Served on a bed of apple infused mashed potatoes, topped with rich onion gravy.

Pork and Bacon Casserole
Pieces of pork, with bacon, leeks and mushrooms in a cider sauce, served with crispy cheese dumplings and vegetables of the day.

Pork Loin Steak
A thick pork loin steak, served on a bed of wholegrain mustard mash potato, with an apple compote and cider gravy.

All of the above are served with fresh vegetables of the day



Railwaymans Platter
Honey glazed ham, cheddar and brie served with mixed leaves, tomatoes, cucumber, pickled onions and homemade red onion chutney with focaccia bread and butter.

Beef Pot
Tender pieces of beef fillet, with olives, chorizo, paprika and mushrooms, in a sherry sauce, served with garlic rice.

Mushroom Stroganoff
A selection of wild mushrooms, in a zingy brandy sauce, with gherkins, lemon and smoked paprika. Served on a bed of savoury rice.

Mexicana Tortiglioni
Tortiglioni pasta tubes, tossed with button mushrooms, sweet peppers, cherry tomatoes and baby spinach, in a creamy sauce with a hint of sweet chilli, topped with cheese and gratinee.

Bubble and Squeak
Crushed new potatoes with sliced onion and savoy cabbage pan-fried and served with crispy bacon and free-range eggs.

Chicken Ceasar Salad
Crispy Kos Lettuce covered in our homemade ‘Ceasar’ dressing, complete with green beans, garlic croutons and anchovies. Topped with tender medallions of garlic and herb marinated Chicken.
